Rules

As children we learn that rules kind of, sort of, suck. We also learn that sadly, they are a necessary part of life. Don’t talk with your mouth full. Don’t run with scissors. It’s not polite to stare. And on and on it goes. Unfortunately, it only gets worse as we age into adulthood. There are rules for everything. But just because having rules may suck, it shouldn’t mean that trying to read through them should suck even more. No one appreciates this pain more than lawyers.Oregon Liquor Control Commission Division 25- Rules

That is why we have taken the time to reformat the OLCC’s Division 25, Recreational Marijuana rules. We made it easier for you to understand the relationships between the various provisions, their sub-paragraphs, and even the sub-paragraphs to some of the sub- sub-paragraphs. What’s more, we created a handy Table of Contents that is hyperlinked to the corresponding rule to make searching for “that thing that you thought you saw about that one exception that might not be but you want to check anyways” a whole lot easier.

But there’s a tradeoff. These aren’t the official rules, so you can’t rely on them the same way you can the official Oregon Administrative Rules. We do everyone the favor of putting the date of the latest update in the footer on each page, but we highly recommend that after you get an understanding of the rule using our readable version, head on over to the official version of the OAR to make sure the rules you are researching have changed. If you are not sure if you have the latest version of the rules contact us at the email below.
