Medical Marijuana and Bone Growth

A new study from Tel Aviv University reports that cannabis not only helped regrow broken bones but that the bones grew back stronger than before.

Researchers studied the effects of CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid contained in most cannabis strains, on bone growth in rats. The dramatic results strongly suggest that CBD might be an effective treatment for broken bones and other bone conditions, such as osteoporosis.

Further medical study is necessary before any concrete claims can be made or clinical trials on humans can begin.
