Marijuana Policy Reform Attorney – Roger E. Goodman
Roger is a nationally recognized drug policy reformer. As a marijuana attorney in Seattle, he has dedicated over a decade to cannabis policy reform issues. Roger’s invaluable insight combined with his focus on marijuana business development and government relations helps our clients navigate the highly regulated cannabis industry.
Roger is admitted to the bar in Washington State and Rhode Island, the First and Ninth Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He received an A.B. as a Senior Fellow from Dartmouth College; his J.D. from the George Washington University; and an M.P.A. from Harvard University.
As a criminal justice expert and state legislator in the state of Washington, Roger is currently serving his fifth term in the Washington State House from the 45th District, which includes the Seattle, WA suburbs of Kirkland and Redmond. Roger is Chair of the House Public Safety Committee, with oversight of the criminal justice system. He is also a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee.
Roger previously served as Director of Washington’s Sentencing Guidelines Commission and served in the 1980s and 1990s as Legislative Director, Counsel and Chief of Staff for two senior Democratic Members of the U.S. Congress.
